The Kokoda Challenge, Australia’s toughest team endurance event, returned to the Sunshine Coast on April 20 – 21, 2024

Spanning Imbil State Forest and starting from Kenilworth, this event wasn’t just a physical trial but a heartfelt mission to raise funds for the Kokoda Youth Foundation. The KYF aims to impact young Australians by providing opportunities for personal development, leadership, and resilience.

Event Highlights:

  1. Team Endurance: Diverse teams tackle the challenging course, fostering teamwork and camaraderie.
  2. Scenic Route: Participants navigate through the breathtaking landscapes of Imbil State Forest, adding natural beauty to the physical challenge.
  3. Community Spirit: Locals cheer on participants, creating an atmosphere of encouragement and support.
  4. Fundraising Goals: Every step taken during the Kokoda Challenge contribute to a brighter future for Aussie kids, with funds directly supporting the Kokoda Youth Foundation.

Dates: April 20 – 21, 2024
Location: Imbil State Forest
Starting Point: Kenilworth

The Kokoda Challenge simply wouldn’t be possible without the hundreds of volunteers who dedicate their time to delivering Australia’s toughest team endurance events in the Sunshine Coast.

Not only do we need all hands on deck during the event weekend to man checkpoints, help with logistics plus loads more. We also require volunteers prior to each event to assist with event pack collection, track marking, sorting medals, preparing food, the list goes on and on and on!
