National Volunteer Week is an annual celebration to acknowledge the generous contribution of our nation’s volunteers

From 18–24 May 2020, thousands of events will be held across the country to say thank you to the 6 million Australians who volunteer their time. The week-long celebration will include breakfasts, morning/afternoon teas, and luncheons, as well as open days, award ceremonies, picnics, forums, training sessions and more.

Volunteering Queensland supports the national theme: Changing Communities. Changing Lives.

2020 Queensland Volunteering Awards

The 2020 Queensland Volunteering Awards will acknowledge the efforts of hundreds of volunteers, volunteer managers, volunteer-involving organisations and businesses in bringing about positive change within their communities.

Nominees, finalists and recipients will all be honoured at the 2020 Queensland Volunteering Awards Presentation during National Volunteer Week.
